Monday July 13

  • 3:00pm Check-in begins – Welcome to Medomak Retreat Center – escort to cabin to unpack and settle in.
  • 4:00-5:00 Tour of Medomak Retreat Center and grounds. Happy Hour Welcome featuring organic local wine and beer, and other refreshments.
  • 6:30 Dinner
  • 7:30 Introduction to each other and to Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation. We will open our hearts, minds, and bodies to the joyful practice of being present! We will begin to explore the possibilities of letting go of the frantic, list-based, multi-tasking life we live. Let us come home to ourselves, celebrating every moment of our lives. We will move, breathe, laugh, stretch and relax! Welcome to Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation in breath-taking Maine!

Tuesday July 14

  • 7:00 (Personal time) Light breakfast tid-bits including fruit or juice will be available.
  • 8:00-9:15 Yoga Practice: Meditation, Pranayama (breathwork), and Asana (Yoga Poses)
  • 9:30 Breakfast
  • 10:30-12:30 – Explore Medomak! (Private or small group Yoga instruction available for beginners.)
  • 1:00 Lunch
  • 3:00-5:00 – Avena Botanicals: herbal apothecary and gardens – healing begins in the garden. Fabulous tour and lecture!
  • 5:15-6:15 Yoga Practice: Explore the Core! Find your center – the secret to relieving lower back pain!
  • 6:30 Dinner
  • 7:30-8:30 Discussion: Yamas and Niyamas, the first two branches of Yoga! Begin to explore Yogic philosophy.
  • 9:00 Campfire

 

Wednesday July 15

  • 7:00 (Personal time) Light breakfast tid-bits including fruit or juice will be available.
  • 8:00-8:45 Yoga Practice: Here Comes the Sun! Joyful Sun Salutations outdoors.
  • 9:00 Breakfast
  • 10:00-12:30 – Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga and other lake activities.
  • 1:00 Lunch
  • 2:00-4:00 – Magical Labyrinth! Walking meditation, Washington, Maine
  • 6:00 Dinner
  • 7:30 – 8:30 Discussion and practice: Continuation of Yogic philosophy. Ahimsa: nonviolence in thought, word and deed toward all living beings. How do we reconcile our Warrior Spirit and Peaceful Heart?
  • 9:00 Campfire

 

Thursday July 16

  • 7:00 (Personal time) Light breakfast tid-bits including fruit or juice will be available.
  • 8:00-9:15 Mindfulness and Yoga pranayama (breathwork) and asana (postures) to enhance mindfulness.
  • 9:30 Breakfast
  • 10:30-12:00 Soothing face masks and moisturizers, all natural – made by you! Join Holly for a fun and enlightening exploration of skin products that are good for you!
  • 1:00 Lunch
  • 2:00-5:00 – Free time to explore on your own! Private or small group instruction available.
  • 5:30-6:30 – Seated Meditation.
  • 6:45 – Silent dinner – Experience mindfulness appreciation of food prepared for your pleasure and nourishment. Silent Dinner will be followed by discussion sharing the experiences of mindfulness that filled our day.

Friday July 17

  • 7:00 (Personal time) Light breakfast tid-bits including fruit or juice will be available.
  • 8:00-9:15 Yoga Practice: Yin Yoga – feminine energy (we all have it!). Awakening your Shakti energy!
  • 9:30 Breakfast
  • 10:30-12:00 – Hike to the chapel in the woods for meditation and asana.
  • 12:30 Lunch
  • 1:30-4:00pm Trip to the Coastal Beach. Mindfulness pleasures of earth and sky, water and sand!
  • 5:30 Dinner
  • 7:00-8:00 Seated meditation
  • 8:00 Private Yoga and Meditation instruction available.
  • 9:00 Campfire

 

Saturday July 18

  • 7:00 (Personal time) Light breakfast tid-bits including fruit or juice will be available.
  • 8:00-9:15 Yoga Practice: Twist and Shout! Twisting and backbending for spinal health – relieve lower back pain – open your heart!
  • 9:30 Breakfast
  • 11:30-12:30 Coping with change – using Yoga and Meditation to stay balanced and present in the midst of chaos and change.
  • 1:00-4:00 Lunch in town! (Lunch can also be arranged at the Lodge if you prefer to stay at Medomak Camp.) Want to stroll through the Labyrinth one more time? Maybe a quiet drift on the lake in a kayak? Private or small group Yoga instruction available.
  • 4:00-5:30 Yoga Group Practice: Core and Balance…find your center and soar!
  • 6:00 Dinner

Sunday July 19

  • 7:00 (Personal Time) Light breakfast tid-bits including fruit or juice will be available.
  • 9:00 Meditation: one more for the road!

 

PLEASE NOTE

  • All outdoor activities and off-site excursions are weather dependent.
  • Enjoy hiking, walking and exploring Medomak Retreat grounds at your leisure throughout your visit with us.
  • Fabulous vegetarian meals are prepared in our own Retreat kitchen using only the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients. Be sure to let Medomak staff know ahead of arriving if you have any special dietary requirements.
  • If you decide to spend a day on your own exploring beautiful Maine, please notify Kathleen.
  • Individual and small group Yoga and Meditation instruction can be arranged throughout our week together.
